“A Double Diamond works wonders, works wonders, works wonders. A Double Diamond works wonders, so drink some today!” was the jingle for the TV adverts and very popular back in the day. I used to partake in a few of these when patronising the Cat and Fiddle public house in Great Barr, i even managed to get served when only 15 years old. Something that Fred the landlord was very strict on.
Trying to find a video of the adverts online is resulting in failure sadly and the guy at the offlicence looks at me as if i am mad when i ask for Double Diamond in a can or a bottle.
